New York Fusion Soccer Club is pleased to welcome you to our site. We are a skills based soccer development program that seeks to raise the level of technical and tactical play by adopting the principles of what we call “Fusion Futbol”, which is a combination of Brazilian skills and the concepts of “total futbol“.
Our History
New York Fusion Soccer Club was founded in August 2011 as a youth soccer development program under the name Barcelona NY as part of a nation-wide soccer collaboration program. In the fall of 2011, we chose to focus on development and not play in a league or tournaments. This development and training period was of great value to our players and coaches. When we did join the Westchester Youth Soccer League and play in tournaments in the spring, our 5 teams were ready. Our U9′s were unbeaten; our U13′s were unbeaten, won their division and were finalists in 3 tournaments; our U16 won their division; and our U11 and U18 improved as the season went on and were playing the system well when the season ended.In August 2012, the board made the decision to end our collaboration and to relaunch our club as New York Fusion Soccer Club. Fusion is a great name for our club. We have a very diverse group of players that truly represents NY City’s diversity. We are combining Brazilian skills with the artistry of “total futbol”.
Our Objective
NYFSC seeks to provide a premier professional soccer environment for youth in New York City.
We aim to raise the level of technical & tactical play within New York and prepare players to play at a higher level of competition.
We will work hard to develop players to their fullest potential by implementing a “Fusion Futbol” philosophy that blends Brazilian skills with the concepts of “total futbol.”
